Commitment to Excrement
OK, this is just about it. Is there any reason left to follow this excuse for an organization? What are we rooting for here? Legacy? This team has now officially been shitty for more years than it has been good. Their "glory days" are starting to look more and more like an anomaly for a team with an otherwise bad history. Maybe Al Davis never was a genius. Perhaps he just got lucky for a relatively short period of time. Hell, if I could be managing general partner for a team for 40+ years, I would have to string together a few good years, just by the nature of statistics and the draft system and NFL parity alone.
Al Davis is ruining his own legacy. It is looking more and more like the Raiders won in the 70s and 80s, not because of Al Davis, but in spite of him.

Dos Patches
Just a short from from Jim Ryder, (Stephanie's Uncle). His attempt at humor notwithstanding, he may be onto something here. Read on...
"As we look forward to a new football season and live with the hope that our teams will go all the way to the Super Bowl.
Rob, to make this season fully enjoyable and far less stressful, perhaps you should consider wearing two official Raider Eye Patches (one over each eye) instead of the customary one over the right eye, while watching those Raider's Play".
Sincerely,
Pride Poise & Excellence.

R.I.P. No. 63
Without a doubt one of my favorite Raiders. Very tough loss.

Quick Diversion - Javelin Anyone?
Gents, in the spirt Olympics currently being played out in front of us on many a plasma HDTV, I thought it would be important to vhet the importance of the javelin. I would like to cast my vote for this 26 year old from Paraguay.
Martin, is that a javelin in your pocket or are simply happy to see me?

Kiffin v Davis
The Sac Bee is noting some interesting comments coming out of Kiffin mouth over the past few weeks. Most notably, Kiffin is challenging the selection of the those that are on the current roster. And further making comment that Kiffin might want to move some of the "dead wood" were it not for the "dead wood" that is at the helm of the ownership.
Here is an interesting question...so early in the preseason. Does Kiffin make it through the season as head coach of the Raiders?

Sims v. Harris
It seems Kwame Harris is doing pretty well in silver and black, at least in run blocking. I haven't heard or seen anything about Barry Sims. Since the two teams swapped OTs, it will be interesting to see who got the better of that deal.

Raider Receivers...come out, come out whereever you are!
So they lost by a point to the Titans. I actually caught the end of the first quarter and beginning of the second quarter on Friday night. JaMarcus looked pretty good for a couple of series. I am liking what I saw. But their wideouts need to step up.
Jevon who?
Jevon who?
Do the Niners have a real QB?
Ok, I am just curious. I did not watch a down of the Niner v. Packers game...but what I heard on the radio on the way home from the North Coast was interesting. Smith is struggling, but somewhat understandable due to the loss of his friend. But JT sounded impressive. Is he the real deal or too early to tell?

Let the Games Begin
Ok Gents, let me be clear. The sole purpose of this blog is to make sure the truth is told. That we fully understand and comprehend that the Raider recovery from the depths of the NFL to full and unwaivering superiority is now upon us.
